BACKGROUND:

Brandon Sprague is a gifted lead guitarist/vocalist/songwriter. The following are performances with major recording artists, festivals, & selected concert dates he has performed with his bands or as a solo artist. His group is called the Brandon Sprague Blues Band. Former bands include: Blue Flame, Soul Kitchen, & Shakedown.

Brandon Sprague: Born in Durant, Oklahoma. Lives in Deadwood, South Dakota. Musical influences include: B.B. King, Doyle Bramhall & Doyle Bramhall II, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Rogers (Muddy Waters guitarist), all of whom Brandon has met. Other favorites include: Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, & Freddie King.

Brandon has co-produced and recorded two CD releases, one with Shakedown which received a great review in the national publication, “Blues Revue” magazine & a new CD recorded live at the Deadwood Tobacco Co., in 2007, Deadwood, South Dakota. Instruments he performs with: Fender Stratrocasters, dobro guitar, slide guitar, and acoustic guitars. Full band includes: guitar, bass, drums (3 piece blues power trio); guitar, drums, bass, keyboards/saxophone/squeezebox; or solo acoustic blues/vocals.
